Defended the CHIPS Act. The household was already long its biggest winner.

The Quote

"Four years ago, President Biden signed the CHIPS and Science Act into law—creating good-paying jobs and supercharging American innovation. While Trump has attacked those investments…"

Spouse purchased 200 Intel (INTC) call options: $50 strike, expiring 3/19/27, disclosed value $1,000,001 to $5,000,000. Intel is the single largest CHIPS Act grant recipient.

PTR Filing #20034836, Transacted May 29, filed Jun 23, 2026

The leveraged bet came first. The public defense of the policy that feeds it came 72 days later, with the position already up alongside Intel's 2026 run.

Not a contradiction. An alignment, which is its own kind of tell. Nothing here is illegal or even unusual mechanically; the household discloses on time. But a ten-month-dated, seven-figure options position is not diversification. It is a directional, time-boxed conviction bet.

When the same person then spends political capital defending the subsidy program that feeds that position, the statement stops being pure policy speech. You don't have to allege anything: the incentive structure is simply visible, and that is the point of reading both documents. The household genuinely believes the chips trade, and the calendar shows the belief predates the advocacy.

Still open: What happens to the 200 Intel call options bought on May 29, 2026: exercised, sold, or left to expire on Mar 19, 2027?
